The Zillmere Multicultural Festival relies on government funding from Brisbane City Council and Multicultural Affairs Queensland, in addition to various donations from local businesses to run every year.
We endeavour to keep our community members' out-of-pocket costs down by offering very low stall fees, reduced tent hire and subsidised activities for children, such as face painting or jewelry making.
In recent years, however, the festival has grown exceptionally large, due to the amount of interest from the local community of Zillmere and its surrounding suburbs. This increased interest has kept the festival's organisational team fighting for funds each year to make sure that all interested local community performers, stallholders and local organisations have a chance to participate.
